SESPE FLYFISHERS CHOUINARD TREE PLANTING EVENT

WHAT: For the past four years, the Sespe Flyfishers in conjunction with the Ojai Valley Land conservancy have planted over 600 trees in steelhead habitat restoration.  This October event is the second planting this year.  Because of expressed interest, we are extending an invitation for participation to all the SWC clubs.

WHEN: Saturday, October 19, 2013 9:00 AM to approximately noon (or whenever).

WHERE:  Ojai Valley Land Conservancy located at 370 Baldwin Road (HWY. 150), Ojai, CA.

DIRECTIONS:  From Hwy. 101 in Ventura, take Hwy. 33 North to Ojai and turn left on Hwy. 150 (a.k.a. Baldwin Road) toward Lake Casitas. Stay on 150 and after crossing the intersection of Rice Road, go approximately 0.3 miles: 370 Baldwin is on your left. We meet in the parking lot and caravan to the planting site.

BRING:  Gloves, shovel, drinking water, sturdy footwear and sun protection.

After the planting is finished, the Conservancy usually does a walking tour to the previous planting sites to show the results of past efforts.
